BitGravity & HD Cloud Partner To Offer On-Demand Transcoding Services To BitGravity Customers
BitGravity, the world’s first and only content delivery network (CDN) purpose-built to deliver HD and SD video-on-demand and live streaming, and HD Cloud, an enterprise-class video transcoding provider, announced a partnership in which BitGravity will offer its customers on-demand transcoding services provided by HD Cloud. BitGravity customers will be able to upload and transcode videos through an interface powered by HD Cloud, and have the encoded files placed into their BitGravity account.
“One of our primary goals is to offer value-added products and services on top of our carrier-grade global network,” said Mangesh Pimpalkhare, Vice President of Product Management at BitGravity. “HD Cloud represents the first partnership in our ecosystem of integrated solutions from trusted, high-quality third-parties that enable our customers to go beyond delivering better video experiences by solving problems, saving time, and generating more revenue with BitGravity. We partnered with HD Cloud because they offer high-quality transcoding services, support a wide range of formats, and are affordable.”
“HD Cloud is pleased to enter into this unique alliance between an enterprise-level cloud service provider and a global CDN,” added Nicholas Butterworth, CEO of HD Cloud. “BitGravity has been a leader in video delivery and now their customers will have a simple interface for managing multiple sites, encoding profiles, and encoding jobs that result in extremely high-quality encoded files. It will be simple for customers to transcode from many formats, such as the ability to transcode MPEG2s to FLVs for Web delivery or FLVs to h.264s for iPhone and iPad delivery.”
