Sorenson Media Announces 360 SDK Beta

Sorenson Media today announced the availability of the beta version of the Sorenson 360 Software Developers Kit (SDK), which enables customers of the Sorenson 360 Video Delivery Network to use custom media players with the video publishing platform. With Sorenson 360, customers now have the choice of using their own proprietary media players, 3rd party players, or using the built-in customizable Flash media player Sorenson 360 provides.

The Sorenson 360 SDK component is free to customers and developers as a beta release and can be integrated with existing media players by adding only three lines of code. For customers who do not have their own software developers, Sorenson Media offers a professional services department to provide the necessary expertise.

Sorenson 360 users, including those who use their own media players, uniquely benefit from the platform’s unrivaled client-side encoding that gives the user full control of video quality and saves time by encoding before upload, providing a smooth, professional workflow experience. Once uploaded, users can employ the full spectrum of video content management features, such as detailed video analytics and comprehensive password protection to manage access to videos.
