Use Google Analytics To Track Visitors

Use Google Analytics To Track Visitors.  The great element about Google Analytics Tracking is it’s free.  Just go to the Google Analytics site and set up an account. You need to do a little set-up and add some code to your website or blog but it’s pretty straightforward.  On a basic level you can easily view all types of details about your visitors.

Once you get your Google Analytics account going you can use it to also track the streaming videos that viewers are watching.  JW Player has a plug-in for Google Analytics that allows you to track Videos Played, Percentage Played and Seconds Played.  There’s a cost associated with the plug-in but it’s a very nice feature of Google Analytics tracking.  Tracking your video analytics with Google Analytics and the JW Player Plug-in is a great way to track Commercials and Video Ads too.  Being able to tell your Advertisers what Percentage of their video advertisement played is invaluable.  Having the Seconds Played information is just ‘icing on the cake’.  If you need helping implementing tracking of your videos with Google Analyics and JW Player just give us a call or send us an E-mail.  We provide consulting and training on those items.  Call Freeman Compression Inc. at 407.477.5837 or E-mail us at info@freemancompression.com for more information.
