FFmpeg for Encoding Via the Command Line
FFmpeg for Encoding via the command line is really cool. I had a chance to dive into command line encoding with FFmpeg recently and it’s very interesting. The quality of video output to the H.264 codec is amazing. The application takes a little bit of work to set up and get the proper presets configured for H.264. However, once you get it going it’s very nice for one-off encoding jobs. I also noticed that the encoding process with FFmpeg happens very quickly. It’s the best tool I’ve seen so far for encoding to Smartphones. If you’d like to start using FFmpeg or get more information on the tool visit the FFmpeg website.
