Wowza Media Server produces thankfulness for me and I’m sure for many other organizations, companies, churches and educational institutions. However, today we’ll focus on what I’m thankful for.  Since it’s creation around 2008, Wowza Media Server has been changing the landscape of streaming media and it’s been a pleasure to be able to enjoy the ride.  There have been so many features that have been developed for Wowza over the years.  Since it’s Thanksgiving, here’s a blog post with a Thanksgiving theme.  By the way, Happy Thanksgiving!

Below are the Wowza Media Server features I’m most grateful for this Thanksgiving:

  • The Option to Implement RTSP Streaming
  • Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) for delivery to iOS Devices and Other Devices
  • The Ability to View Wowza Media Server Activity Remotely
  • Server Side Recording of Live Streaming
  • The Capacity to Re-stream SHOUTcast streams
  • The Option for Re-streaming IP Cameras
  • Live Stream Repeater Capabilities
  • The Option to Utilize Load Balancing for Multiple Servers
  • The nDVR AddOn to Implement DVR Experiences
  • Wowza Transcoder AddOn for Encoding Live Streams to Multiple Bit Rates
  • The TV Channel Style Streaming Feature
  • The Option to Implement Servide-side Secure Token
